Virginia has always wanted to paint but a bad experience with an art teacher made her afraid of trying again. She didn’t go near a paint brush for years. Then she saw a class called “Playing with Paint” which sounded like it might be fun. It turned out to be a little like writing — letting the paint flow instead of the words.
Her first “masterpiece” was French Room with Frock. Encouraged by her art teacher she entered it in the local art show where it won a “highly commended”! The judge said: “Art should evoke an emotional response and this painting makes me happy.”
Now Virginia does a couple of paintings a year following the French interior theme.
